Keith and Heather were extremely busy. They had reached out to me a few times about booking me but it just never happened, until one day about 6 weeks before they said, Lisa we need to get this going, so we did.
They were a Custom/Full Service couple which means they get to choose how much or little they want to do/be involved in and i handle everything they don’t. So very few options or no options to make it easier/quicker. The first thing we do is a budget where i get a really good feel for their style/vision and most of all budget, this gives me direction for who the vendor team should be. Heather’s favourite colors are red/white/black, do ya think I nailed that with the end design/look? lol. I brought Square Root on to do the florals as I knew they would execute the vision perfectly and of course they did, TMMPRO did the black dancefloors, the walkway at the ceremony and my fave round one in the ballroom, both with their custom decal on them, lighting, B&G sofa, draping/chiavaris & chargers. Luxe linens for the lines & napkins. Design Visage for hair/makeup, Peter/Vive Entertainment for all the music, Viralbooth OC for the surprise Photobooth after dinner in the foyer, Frank Salas for the fabulous pics, and Sweet Traders for the fabulous cake, and of course to our friends at Hyatt Hb, can’t do anything without all of you!! xoxox
Now I was in New Zealand for my nieces wedding on this date, so Kim orchestrated/oversaw everything on the day and did an excellent job (we were in communication the whole time via text and pics, and it’s always cool when the vendors text me too to get my aok on what they are doing, love them), so I missed seeing Heather’s face when she saw the Vista Ballroom for the first time, but from Kim and the vendors and from both Heather and Keith telling me, Heather was blown away. I don’t think she could visualize it really plus she was too busy to really think about it, so I was really happy to hear it was even better than she could have imagined.
But the wedding wasn’t the end of our time together, while I was still in New Zealand Keith calls me and says, ok, now lets get the honeymoon done (they couldn’t think about that prior to the wedding due to their jobs) and so I got to send them down to Jamaica where they stayed in an overwater bungalow with a butler and had a wonderful honeymoon, they are supposed to be going back for their 1st year anniversary but coronavirus may be putting a delay to that unfortunately, but i will get them back there, and by the way, they now won’t vacation without the butler service, lol!!
Till next time
Lisa
