A lovely Pasea Wedding

I was lucky enough to get to know the property quite well before we did our first wedding there (which happened to be an Indian wedding using the big ballroom) thanks to Pam Olsen that opened the hotel, having me over a few times, and then our good friend Christine that we have known from Hyatt came over, so by the time Genelle and Chris booked us, we were hanging out to do one in the Blue Room which is where their celebration was going to be, yay

The whole ground level of the hotel is elevated compared to the hotels down the road, so you get a good view of the Pacific Ocean and fabulous Huntington Beach from the ceremony site and then they had their cocktails on the front balcony/patio area of the Blue Room which day or night is a wonderful place for guests to enjoy.  Their dinner/dance room has a wooden floor so no need to rent a dancefloor unless you are looking to go all white, and the room has a very cool built in bar along one whole end of the room.  The team at Pasea were wonderful, in fact quite a few faces from other hotels in the area we work with which made it even sweeter.  Thanks to Trynh Photo for getting me the good pics above, the bad ones are mine, lol.

Surf and Sand Hotel Laguna Wedding

It had been quite a few years since i had done a wedding here and then i was there within two months, how random is that!!!!!!

The ceremony area for the larger weddings is really fabulous, you just stare at the Pacific Ocean beyond, then after a quick turn around, that is also where the guests get to enjoy cocktails.  Another great team on this one: Jim Kennedy Photography/Jim himself, Steve from Honored Occasions kept the dancefloor full, Cinderella Cakes made an incredible cake that was stacked suitcases (they were leaving on a 1 year honeymoon around the world – how lucky were they – so everything was themed around travel), Fantasy Florals did a wonderful job with the florals, Naples Strings provided the ceremony & cocktail music, and TMMPRO provided rentals along with Luxe Linens.  thanks to the ladies and banquet staff at Surf and Sand also  xoxoxo

Ritz Laguna Destination wedding

You know i love an intimate wedding celebration, right??!!  Well i do, you may spend to have 30 guests as 70, but boy those guests get such a wonderful wedding celebration when it comes to venue and food experience, they will always refer back to your wedding!!  I suggested to Machelle that we do the ceremony seating in one row curved to the front which would make everyone feel wanted/inclusive, worked out great didn’t it!!

They sat at a guest table with guests, so we put them by the fireplace and spread everyone out amongst four tables, we could have done a royal table for all, but they preferred to do the groupings and it looked great.

We had an awesome vendor team on board for them, Barnet Photography (my pics are the bad ones above lol), video/Luxury Lifestyle Studio, Flawless Faces for hair/makeup, Peter/Vive Entertainment for all the music, and my good friends at Square Root for the floral and rentals.  Paul Uhlar did the ceremony with his wonderful calming voice and all the right words with the little bit of humor he does towards the end perfectly that breaks all the ice before the formal introduction.  And of course, our fab everyone at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna where we have been honored to do weddings for the past 19 years!!

Wedding Reception Ritz-Carlton style

Does this give you a hint of the style and glam that Nasser and Tunde wanted and got with their fabulous weddings!!!!

Loved them both, so nice to work with, love a couple with grace and style!!

Square Root was the only floral designer that I knew would bring the vision to life along with my TMMPRO pals.  They got married at the Cathedral in San Juan Capistrano and then we did the Terrace Salon  at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel proud!!
