Beautiful wedding for a sweet bride

What a joy Ina was to work with, Frank Salas (thanks for the photos), Flowers By Cina and I kept saying how lucky we were to each other.

I always use TMMPRO for the dancefloor/chairs/lighting but this time we even had Jack himself as the dj, love it.

Another Sunset Terrace and Plaza beautiful intimate celebration, xoxoxox

Vibiana – Downtown Los Angeles wedding

img_3173  img_3185

I love doing weddings for siblings and normally there could be many months or years inbetween, but for this wedding I had done the brides brother’s wedding under a month prior.  So it was fun to see everyone, a lot of the same guests, so soon, like seeing my own friends again.  Plus I love the parents of the bride and my comment as they were leaving at the end was, I was sad they did not have more children to get married!! Boo hoo

So the two pics above show the two main areas used at Vibiana, outdoor ceremony and then indoors for dinner/dancing.  Cocktails are held in the courtyard to the left of the ceremony site, and its really cool to realize you are in the heart of downtown LA and look up and see old and new architecture/buildings, but not feel like you are in the midst of it all.

img_3187 img_3188

The pictures above were done earlier, note the lighting in the main hall and you will see it looking a bit different with a lighting change, and I loved how the Rabbi’s shadow is very obvious in the area we were going to be doing the ketubah signing.  It was a dusk/dark time for the ceremony, see below how lovely it was.

Sweetheart table and cake on the altar, and a view of the altar with lanterns and greenery reused from the ceremony.

Ronit had a totally different vision/vibe for her wedding than what her brothers was, and Wisteria Flowers captured everything perfectly and were just so wonderful to work with.

Great vendor team we assembled, thanks to Hom Photography for some of the photos above (some are mine), Design Visage for beautifying everyone fabulously as always, 90210 dj Nathan/have worked with him a couple of times now, and to Denise at Vibiana.

Langham Pasadena wedding

A November wedding which always had the ceremony planned for indoors, even though the weather was beautiful we still did the ceremony indoors and it really turned out beautiful.

Yes lighting is everything, especially uplights on a Chuppah.

Miri our bride had great vision and knew exactly how she wanted things to be and it turned out beautifully.  Great working with Butterfly Floral, TMMPRO for the lighting and seamless glossy dancefloor, and the team at Langham, some I have known and some I know now!!   This was the first of a brother and sister that were getting married within a month of each other.  Second one coming on the blog soon

Casino San Clemente wedding

photo 2 photo 3

My favourite harpist’s daughter was getting married and I was honored when they asked me to co-ordinate the wedding.  They chose a Thursday night at the Casino which meant they could bring in their own caterer.

The ceremony is held outside infront of the fireplace, cocktails are on a patio with ocean views, then into the ballroom where they added strung lights and chandeliers.  Oh and I loved their caketop which we had on the cake on the stage along with a dessert station.  They had benches which we had in a T-shape which the bridal party sat at/around.  Great party had by all and our B&G left in a white Packard off to their fancy hotel wedding night!!.

Plaza Room, Ritz-Carlton Laguna wedding

IMG_0974 IMG_0977 photo 2

Well not sure what happened here, but neither the floral designer or I got pics of the cere site, and there was a great candy table setup by Candee by Sandee that I had pics of, but I can’t find them, so annoying.  But the photos above and below give you an idea of the pop of color our lovely bride Shannon went with which was a good way to start the year as the rest of the year seemed full of more lighter palettes.  Don’t you love the color of the peonies below, they were gorgeous.

Thanks to another great vendor team that Shannon let me guide her to to ensure a great celebration.  Keith Laverty/floral designer, Design Visage for ensuring our bride looked fab from beginning t end.  Monico Décor for all the rentals.  And of course the awesome team at the Ritz-Carlton that I have had the honor of working with for 15 years now.  Love love love

Monarch Beach, Bay Club, Private Beach wedding

J&M-238photo 2

I loved Megan.  A friend of my husbands daughter referred her to me.  The couple lived in Arizona as did a lot of the guests on the brides side, but the grooms family lived here including his grandparents who live in Monarch Beach, and thus the ability to have their wedding here.  I was already booked on her date so the lovely Teri took over on the day and ensured all went smoothly and fabulously.  A perfect celebration, perfect weather, at a perfect/special location.

Pala Mesa Wedding

cote_2334

Well the vendor team on this wedding could not wait for it to happen, as we got to see one of our good friends get married and see other friends having a good time instead of working, and we got to have a good time too, we were working but it didn’t feel like it normally does.  Jim Kennedy/photographer, Peter/Vive Ent was our music guy, Flawless Faces beautified our bride and girls-not that our bride needed it!! Shane Productions/video, Fantasy Florals did the florals combining items the bride had and adding florals and it looked fabulous, and the photobooth backdrop was created/made by the groom!! Pretty fabulous is it not.  So as you can see all the elements to make it an intimate/fun wedding and it certainly was.

Ritz-Carlton Laguna wedding celebration

Had a great time with this bride and groom.  They live/work in Manhattan New York and were very excited to have a December celebration here in S CA where the weather was going to be a lot warmer than there.

The beauty of planning a wedding at a time of year when there are not a lot of events/weddings, you can do location combinations that in the summer months you just can not do.  So the guests did get to see the whole property from one side to another, but I didn’t hear anyone complaining, and who could, when you go from one awesome view at the Gazebo Lawn for the ceremony, to cocktails on Dana Lawn, then the dinner/dance in the Pacific Promenade that feels like you are at an exclusive location/all alone/private.

Thanks to Albert Talibibian for the photos below, what a lovely man to work with on this day, and of course to the fabulous Ritz-Carlton team for always making it a pleasure to come to work with you at your home.

St Regis vibrant

I already posted this wedding but got these photos and wanted to share them also.

Great shot of the dove release, and the Grand Lawn with these vibrant colors.

Thanks to Cloak Photography for the pics.

St Regis, Club 19

Here’s a quick peek of a Club 19 wedding where it was not all about florals.  Angela and John were quite cool/hip and on a budget and florals were just not their thing.  Our budget was spent on linens/chargers and furniture inside to create a club feel along with the ‘big band’ that Angela had said from the beginning she wanted.  As day became night, the floating candles and votives on the dining tables along with the votives we had hanging from the rafters, gave the dining patio a really romantic feel and the linen color/chairs that complimented, made it feel really warm and comfortable for those that just wanted to stay at their tables

L07A5336 copy

With a backdrop like the one below for your ceremony, you can get away with just a petal aisle and some pew florals to soften the white chair look, no need to spend a lot on florals when that is just not your thing.

Thanks Tony Florez for these pics, as always you are a pleasure to work with,  Flowers by Cina for listening to the bride and not trying to talk her into something she did not want to do, Fusion for the linens/chairs/furniture, Design Visage for keeping Angela’s hair/makeup looking fabulous until the end, and my fave string trio/quartet company, Naples Chamber Ensembles, and of course the team at the St Regis without who, we are nothing!!! lol
