Jamaica All Butler Sandals Resort

I LOVE this resort.  Everyone has a butler, it has a beautiful boutique, quiet feel, all rooms have ocean views, and you can go to the other Sandals & Beaches Resorts in the same area and hang out/eat/enjoy the amenities, where they can not come to your resort!!!

There is also a Villa with a private chef/private pool etc that you never need to leave if you prefer!!!

Let’s do your Destination Wedding here, just the two of you or a group, I can help you, or vacation/honeymoon/babymoon, whatever you are wanting, I can help make it happen!

Till next time

Sandals Bahamas

I have been to the Bahamas around 10 times, and spent two of those trips right here at Sandals, minutes from downtown Nassau.  Its a lovely property with a private island, where i spend most of my time, reading/hanging out/relaxing/swimming/massaging!

Can you see why i like the private island, the pics above from the boat to here are all there, no one in sight, so calm

This was the view from my last room, above and below, looking at the pool for the action and then pivot to the right and it was all ocean looking over to the private island

On my last trip i did a duo, spent some time in Nassau and then flew to Exuma and spent time at the Sandals there, so relaxing and the water is amazing.  If you are a golfer, this is a bucket list trip as you are playing right along the ocean so spectacular views while playing and of course a Jack Nicolas course

It was a bit stormy while there but the water was still beautiful blue

Meanwhile back in Nassau…. above and below

With certain butler rooms at Sandals Nassau/Royal, you get picked up at the airport and taken back in a Bentley or fancy Mercedes, that’s the way to arrive in style and not be too sad about leaving, right!

Let me get you there

Till next time

Southcoast Sandals/Jamaica

I first visited this resort right as it was opening, and loved it.  Quiet/spread out, all rooms have a view of the water!!  Had not been back, so it was long overdue.

The first overwater bar Sandals had and a great spot to have a drink it was!!  And one of the signature large Sandals pools, it was nearly empty every time i enjoyed it.

I was there as they were breaking ground for the overwaters, very exciting. If you are looking for calm/relaxing and more beach than you could use, this is the resort for you!

Sandals Grenada

This is the newest addition to the Sandals Family.  I had missed a couple of fam trips but got to go with my husband end of 2018 and was really pleased I got to experience a vacation there with him, not working, lol.  this was the view from our 2 level suite, looking down on the pool from the swim out rooms, across the resort to that beautiful caribbean.

We actually left the resort (sometimes we don’t on our trips) and the view above is the downtown area, we went on a snorkelling trip to see the famous circle of friends an underwater sculpture, very cool.

The pic above is one of the suites with their own infinity pool and awesome views.  i have had couples honeymoon right here in these and they raved about it.

As always the grounds/flowers are beautiful to walk around/enjoy

the pic above and below is one of the rondoval suites with their own jacuzzi and plunge pool, very popular, and cool

Lots of places to sit, relax and just enjoy, around this really intimate resort

This is what you normally see pics of from this resort, the seating area inside the pool where you don’t get wet to be there/enjoy

Let’s think Destination wedding or Vow Renewal, should we??

A Butch’s chophouse can be found here (Barbados is great because you can do the chophouse and steakhouse there), and the atmosphere and food is … yuuuum

Always an English Pub at each resort, great for just hanging out

My fave cocktail, banana and chocolate and cream, yeahhhhhhhhhh

Ok, realising it’s now 7 months since i have travelled to the Caribbean due to Coronavirus, I am realising its time to go back, soon Lisa, soon

Till next time

Ochi Rios – 2 Resorts

So the resort that starts with the least expensive room options of all the Sandals Resorts happens to be in Jamaica and in Ochi Rios.  The hub for cruise ships, Dunns River Falls, town, activities, so how lucky are you.  Above was my last room at the Sandals where i was in a butler villa, attached to another, where we had a lovely pool to share, I never saw the other couple.

Lovely beach/sand/restaurant options and activities at the base of the resort.

If you were 2 couples travelling together where i stayed last trip would be perfect as you just open up the living/lounge area in-between the 2 bedrooms to enjoy but yet you have your own privacy/space as the bedrooms are at each end.

Of course one of the largest signature Sandals Pools would be at this Sandals, its quite the party hardy resort if you want to partake.

You could also have ocean view rooms in the tower next to the ocean and be on that beach very fast every day

On the pic above, those wee huts are massage or private dinner huts!!

Then for the families, or groups or friends (that don’t want to share a bed at Sandals) in Ochi Rios is one of the Beaches Resorts.  Different villages/styles of accommodations to suit your style as always, budget, and size of your group.  My fave is the Greek Village.

View from a Greek Village patio

2 beaches to enjoy, busy side and quiet side

Looking along one of the rows of Greek Village rooms, it’s 3 levels.  Also the Sesame Street characters are all around to add excitement to the kids vacay, and you adults do get to vacay too, they have kids programs from only a few months old up until late teens, so mom/dad, grandparents, can do some adulting, quiet time, fine dining, spa etc.

Huge pool and water slide action for the kids at Beaches and then back to Sandals where there is a big easy, you go into the Rabbit Hole and must know the password!!

Inside the Rabbit Hole, and the big pool at Sandals Ochi at night

Really pretty lobby area at the upper area of Sandals Ochi.  For those staying at Sandals Ochi, you can catch a cab if you want and head over to Beaches to dine/hang out there, something tells me it won’t take long and you will be back to all the options of what/where/how at Sandals Ochi.

Let me get you there.  Everyone deserves a vacation, honeymoon, or lets do your destination wedding at Beaches, where everyone can attend, then the B&G head to one of the quiet/private butler suites at Sandals Ochi where you never have to leave your suite or even hop on a plane and head to a Sandals Resort on another island!!!

Till next time

Tokoriki Island, Fiji, wedding

Well being from the South Pacific, downunder, New Zealand, i am lucky enough to say i have been to Fiji more than 15 times I am sure, if i sat down and counted it up.  I now tend to do a stopover there or Hawaii on the way down or back when going home rather than straight through now, why not right??, lol, and luckily due to weddings down there and special occasions I was last there 4 times in about 14 months!! Lucky me, make it happen.

So on this trip we had my bestie from Oz and her husband meet us and we started at the Westin, went to Momi Bay (more on those on other posts) and ended on Tokoriki.  I have stayed here before at a different resort (there are only 2 on this island), its about a 45 minute boat ride from the main island the airport is on, so nice and wasy.

They have their own chapel, you can get married on the sand or on a deck looking out to the beautiful ocean and then do dinner/dancing with a view or on a big lawn area in the center of the resort, so many options.  All the accommodations are bure’s, most are 2s, some ocean view some island view, either way it’s all good, you’re in Fiji right!!

Food was excellent and the Fijian hospitality is always the best and not as ‘island’ time as you may think and even if it is, who cares, what else do you have to do right??

You could have a big group come and take over the resort, or an intimate group, and then once the wedding is over, you can head to another island or maybe even New Zealand or Australia for your honeymoon, and the guests can do the same!  Nice

Let me help you with your Fijian destination wedding.  Sometimes i see air for around $700 return from LAX!!!  And if you are just looking to vacation or honeymoon, i have peeps who can pull together an awesome trip for you.

Till next time

Destination wedding St Vincent & the Grenadines

We left on our yacht charter from St Vincent, caught a boat there from Bequia, but stayed on St Vincent pre and post, so took a good look around and found a few great hotels for destination weddings.  Again, this is for the couple that is looking for off the main Caribbean island tourist route, takes a bit more effort to get there, but well worth it.

So if interested, I can help you plan it all.

Bequia destination wedding

You probably have not heard of Bequia, it’s one of the islands not easy to get to in the Caribbean which for some that makes it even more special.  It is part of the St Vincent and the Grenadines group and before a yacht charter we did from there (which is the only way to see these islands as big cruise ships can not get in close to the islands and for most of the islands like Mustique with only 2 cabs, the infrastructure of the islands could not handle thousands of people getting off a boat and taking over their island for a few hours.  So these island are still very slow/natural and yes, a lot of celebrities have homes on some of these islands, not suprising!!

So anyway, I found this cool hotel, has rooms down by the water, a lovely restaurant that opens to the water view and a huge ‘house style’ building up the hill (they drive you up and back” with views to die for and multi rooms, so for an intimate destination wedding this would be perfect, you could take over the whole resort, do the ceremony and reception wherever you want, up the top with the views or close to the water, and for pre and post wedding activities, we can hire a yacht for sunset cruises, go to neighbouring islands on a day trip and after the wedding you can head off to one of the islands for your honeymoon and your guests can too or charter a yacht or head back to Barbados (best way to get to/from these islands) and stay there or head to more known islands (ie I can help with Sandals all inclusive resorts) with as much to do or as little as that want, based on how they like to vacation.

Not giving the name of the resort, you have to book me to do your wedding with you there, lol.

Caribbean honeymoon

If you are looking at the Caribbean for your honeymoon, whether you are one of my couples or not, let me help you pick the right Sandals Resort/island for you.  I have been to nearly all of them, happen to think all-inclusive is the best thing ever on honeymoon, and after advising you, can put you in touch with a special department at Sandals that works directly with couples that are referred by wedding planners, giving you great personal service, which you do not get through the normal 800 number or website that everyone else have to use/go through.
