Westin Fiji

This is my fave hotel on hotel strip just off the mainland in Fiji, and a great spot to have your destination wedding in Fiji.  They have a wedding chapel, or you can get married on the sand or lawn with ocean backdrop.  Plenty for your guests to do there, golf across the street even, and pre/post activities/visits to nearby islands, can all be party of the experience for your group intimate or large that go with you.  Because there are about 10 hotels in this area, walking distance or take the shuttle that runs between all the hotels, your guests can be hotel loyal or stay where their budget or hotel style preference is.

So many food/beverage options, there are 3 Marriott properties next to each other and you can eat/sign to your room from any of them!

And the spa is awesome, one of my faves in the world!!

Let me take you there/help you plan your Fijian destination wedding, or if you are interested in a honeymoon or vacation I will connect you to the right folks (and they can make all air/hotel arrangements for your guests too)!

Till next time

Ritz Laguna wedding celebration

Aaaah, what can i say about Lonnie and Tony.  A love story.  Second time for each of them, in their 50s, not looking or didn’t think they would, but they found love again.  Lonnie was just lovely and Tony was a romantic, he and i planned a surprise during the wedding where he and his guys sang and danced for her, it was fabulouso!!

We incorporated elements to make it as romantic and warm, as Lonnie wanted it to be, Doves that they released at the end of the ceremony, an ivory dancefloor rather than stark white, cushions on the benches on the balcony that went with her color scheme and gold accents to keep things warm too.

Another great vendor team, the Photographer Drew Dailey Images and dj Armando/DJ Shout were known to the couple and both did a great job, then my normal crew, EBD Floral, TMMPRO for the benches/dancefloor/lighting, Video by Shane Productions, String trio for cere/cocktails by Naples Strings/Elaine and doves via our lovely Pamla/White Flite, and as always, the wonderful ladies and gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton Laguna xoxxo

Hawaiian wedding

Have you ever dreamed of a Hawaiian wedding or renewal of vows, or even a vacation or honeymoon where you can enjoy sunsets like below, we can help!!

I have been fortunate to have been to Hawaii more times than i can count, and i now do a stopover going to/from New Zealand rather than a non-stop flight, much more fun!!

So whether it’s a Waikiki wedding, intimate or large group attending, the  top pics are at my fave hotel there the Moana Surfrider, or other areas on Oahu (more to come on that in another post) or another island (more posts on that), I can help and would love to with your Destination wedding or vow renewal.  If looking to honeymoon/vacation, i have a travel partner that would love to help you, let me know and i will intro you.

Till next time

Shutters Santa Monica wedding

We have done a few weddings at Shutters now (we are now on their preferred vendor list too, so very happy) and when Rosa and Je booked me and we started the venue search I knew Shutters would be perfect for them, and it was.

Rosa is sweet and lovely, so light and pretty was the feel we went for, nothing heavy and over the top, and with that ceremony background and the beautiful ballroom at Shutters they helped finish the look we were going for.  I worked with Rosa and Je through the planning months and pulled everything together, then on the day Nicole, along with Brittany assisting, orchestrated/oversaw that everything we had planned happened flawlessly.

Thanks to The Big Affair for the photos and being so nice to work with, Vanilla Bake Shop for the beautiful cake (great cake tasting), EBD Floral for always doing a beautiful job, DJ Mister Bill (alas not djiing anymore) and TMMPRO for the dancefloor/chiavaris&lighting, and to the lovely team at Shutters for being so easy/wonderful to work with. xoxox

Sydney Australia wedding

If having either of these icons in your background of the ceremony or pics before are after are your dream, i can help.  Being from New Zealand I can not even count how many times I have been to Australia, so know many parts of it well, especially Sydney.

The beauty of Sydney is the range of hotels so guests can stay where their budget or location preference is, everyone speaks English (even if those aussies have a twang, yes they do!!) and so many great experiences to do pre/post wedding for everyone.  And again, after the wedding, you can head to another part of Australia, or New Zealand or Tahiti, Fiji or Hawaii, for your honeymoon, on your way back to the states, and so can your guests!!  Let me help you plan/have a wonderful downunder celebration.

And of course i have travel partners that can help you plan a honeymoon or vacation downunder if that is what you are looking to do.  Hit me up for the intro!

Ritz Carlton Terrace Salon wedding

This lovely destination wedding for Carol and Tim was orchestrated on the day by Allison, who we have known for years and is new to our team as a Day of Co-Ordinator.

Thanks to Frank Salas for the photos.  Square Root did the florals, TMMPRO did the lighting/dancefloor and chivaris for cere & dining room.  They were an intimate group of 70 in this room that can do up to 150 at a squeeze, so plenty of room to spread out and have their band in there too.

And as always, thanks to our friends at Ritz-Carlton for teamwork makes the dream work. xoxox

Wedding in Spain??

Have you thought about it?  Well I can help.  I have been to Spain many times, from the island of Mallorca which would be awesome for a wedding group, to the Costa del Sol several times where you have access to a beach wedding or a high in the hills village wedding, there is so much to do in Sprain and so many options for a wedding location.

Pre and post wedding day lots of activites to setup for all to enjoy

Their version of the French Riviera with the designer stores and mega yachts (yes some have their rolls Royce match the boat!!) is a greal locale to be

Lovely American resorts and other resorts are all over, oceanfront or golf course, they have it all, and of course my fave place, up in the hills Rhonda, where we could do your wedding up there also and have everyone stay the night there, a very cool place.

Let me help you have the wedding of your dreams in Spain.  I have a travel partner that can arrange all the air/hotels/excursions for all, so you can focus on the wedding with me!

Alta Vista Country Club wedding

Nicole oversaw/orchestrated this wedding for this sweet couple with Darla’s help.  The venue has a gazebeo but they were doing a traditional Jewish ceremony and wanted a proper chuppah, look below at their ketubah, love it.

For this wedding our old friend Tomoko/harpist who we had not seen for years, provided the ceremony music, and in the ballroom Nicole worked side by side with Jason Jass/Visions Entertainment to pull off a great celebration for these two. xoxo

Tokoriki Island, Fiji, wedding

Well being from the South Pacific, downunder, New Zealand, i am lucky enough to say i have been to Fiji more than 15 times I am sure, if i sat down and counted it up.  I now tend to do a stopover there or Hawaii on the way down or back when going home rather than straight through now, why not right??, lol, and luckily due to weddings down there and special occasions I was last there 4 times in about 14 months!! Lucky me, make it happen.

So on this trip we had my bestie from Oz and her husband meet us and we started at the Westin, went to Momi Bay (more on those on other posts) and ended on Tokoriki.  I have stayed here before at a different resort (there are only 2 on this island), its about a 45 minute boat ride from the main island the airport is on, so nice and wasy.

They have their own chapel, you can get married on the sand or on a deck looking out to the beautiful ocean and then do dinner/dancing with a view or on a big lawn area in the center of the resort, so many options.  All the accommodations are bure’s, most are 2s, some ocean view some island view, either way it’s all good, you’re in Fiji right!!

Food was excellent and the Fijian hospitality is always the best and not as ‘island’ time as you may think and even if it is, who cares, what else do you have to do right??

You could have a big group come and take over the resort, or an intimate group, and then once the wedding is over, you can head to another island or maybe even New Zealand or Australia for your honeymoon, and the guests can do the same!  Nice

Let me help you with your Fijian destination wedding.  Sometimes i see air for around $700 return from LAX!!!  And if you are just looking to vacation or honeymoon, i have peeps who can pull together an awesome trip for you.

Till next time

Hyatt Huntington Beach wedding

Sometimes with our couple’s doing church ceremonies we are at the church also and sometimes our role is only at the hotel, as was the case with Urmi’s wedding.  She worked with me on the planning/pulling everything together and then on the day, Nicole was there and overseeing/orchestrating and because it was a big wedding, both Darla and Cece were there assisting her.

We had a mixture of round and rectangle tables and placed the dancefloor as a diamond which is a cool way to work with as many as rectangles to make all feel special close to dancefloor and not block the dancefloor off when it is square.  Thanks to Lin & Jirsa for the pics, Luxury Lifestyle Studios/video, Design Visage for hair/makeup, we had a lovely violinist for cocktails and a caricature artist too both of which are great when you have a longer cocktail time.  Thanks as always to the team at Hyatt HB, teamwork makes the dreamwork for sure xoxoxxo
