Intimate Ritz-Carlton Laguna wedding

substandardfullsizerender-2 substandardfullsizerender

Such a lovely couple to help plan their wedding for very close family and a few friends.

With that backdrop you don’t need to fill up the backdrop with anything but what mother nature provided, right??!!

Such a pretty sweetheart table piece, soft and calm, just like our bride.

Perfect team for these two, Frank Salas/photography, DJ Kreiger, Karens Flowers, Wendy our harpist for ceremony & cocktails, and Paul Uhlar officiating, and of course the awesome peeps at the RC for doing what they do so very very well.

Till next time

Ritz -Carlton Laguna wedding

They booked me for Month of service before they even booked the hotel and when the service officially kicked in, David said two things to me which I loved….. We should have booked you for the bigger service, I have no idea how you do what you do, dealing with vendors was so frustrating.  What can we do that would be really unique?

Well thank you David, when you love what you do it’s not work and it’s easy and how about a champagne lady??!!  We had the champagne lady greet the guests at cocktail hour and then again she was in the ballroom when they came in and they took a glass for the toasts. They had my preferred vendor list and made some good decisions along the way and actually did ok considering they were a destination wedding.

Sweet/simple look for the ceremony, with that backdrop you don’t need more

We had a bling photo backdrop at one end of the room

An old fashioned floral combination for the sweetheart table but it really looked lovely

Our groom wanted a cool dj booth and Revelry Event Design had a few to choose from

Thanks to Lin & Jirsa for the pics and being so great to work with, they wore many hats for this one, photo/video/photobooth/drone, TMMPRO for my fave dancefloors and decals, Jason Jass/Visions Entertainment/dj for being a pleasure to work with, the lovely ladies at Design Visage for beautifying our bride/moms/bridesmaids, and the team at Ritz-Carlton as always, love love love you all for helping me create wonderful memories for couples and their family and friends, for over 15 years now.

Ritz-Carlton Laguna Celebration

McCunePhotography_01 McCunePhotography-140

So loved this couple and their families.  Katelin wanted a more gardeny feel for her wedding and I believe we nailed it.  They were just fun, so I showed them a fun program that my neighbours son had created for his wedding and I thought would be perfect for them, Katelin took it and ran with it, turned out great, so personal and fun. I’m not a program fan because I see when it looks normal/boring most guests don’t take it, they don’t care, but when it has interesting fun facts on it, those that didn’t pick one up come back for it, and the guests learn something they enjoy now knowing.

Great vendor team on board from beginning to end for them, McCune Photography/thanks for the pics and always being easy to work with, Flowers by Cina/you know I love ya, Peter/Vive Entertainment-dj-always the best, Shane Productions/video-muah, Rentals by Monico Décor, and of course my pals at the Ritz-Carlton Dana Point who make me look great and are a joy to work with.

Don’t you love the keys that held the placecards!!  Our colors in the ballroom where silver and black and white, looked so great, and we had round/long and square tables, I love mixing it up, and of course my fave the round dancefloor.

We are referred by ….

I am honored and understand the responsibility we accept when a location has us on their PREFERRED VENDOR lists.  You can be taken off as quickly as you may have been put on (and over the years I have seen that happen).  Nothing about being placed on the lists below was quick for us, we paid our dues by being seen at the properties working hard and as a team and having happy couples/families after and being in the industry for a long time.  As a bride told me, she asked how vendors got on the list of that property and was told ‘they can’t pay their way on, they must earn it’.

Here are some of the hotels in the OC that cover a range of bride’s style and budget whose preferred vendor lists we are on:

Ritz-Carlton Dana Point (Laguna Niguel)  – 11 years on the preferred list

St Regis Monarch Beach – since the day the hotel opened

Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach – since the day the hotel opened

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach – around 5 years

As a note, I am the only co-ordinator on all five lists, others are on 1 or 2, maybe 3 of the lists, but I am on all 5.

I am always pleasantly suprised to find out I am on other hotel/wedding location lists, and I know there is a variety of properties out there whose lists I am on, or  a location/hotel has suggested to the bride/mom/groom to call me, especially when with most of these properties you are not required to have a co-ordinator.

If we can assist you with your planning/celebration, don’t hesitate to call or email.  It would be our pleasure

Check my blog out thru my website, you will see a variety of entries on the locations above and the various ceremony locations/reception areas they offer, some of 2011s are the most recent, but check the past blogs for your hotel or banquet space also and you can see some weddings from years past.
