Sorrento is such a great city, a gateway to so many wonderful places/experiences in Italy.  Capri is a boat ride away, Amalfi is down the coast, Naples is up the road, Pompei is not that far, and it has a village/walk around feel/vibe which is great for a destination wedding.  Guests can stay where they want/budget or style preference yet still be close to everyone else in town, and I have the perfect hotel with gorgeous views over to Naples for the wedding celebration.  Once the wedding is over, you can determine where you are going to honeymoon and your guests can continue travelling wherever they want from this central place not only to Italy, but can fly from Naples wherever they want to go.  I have been to Sorrento and this area two times and I will be back!!
