Well i guess it says a lot about me, my style or the fact that nothing goes wrong at my weddings, lol, but I get asked to do quite a few weddings for vendors/themselves or their children and hotel peeps, themselves or friends of theirs. So i was honored again to be asked if i would do a wedding for one of my fave Chef’s at one of the hotels i am at a lot. Of course i said yes.
They live in San Clemente and wanted to do the wedding there and found this venue that i would have never found, it had a gorgeous Pacific ocean view, and they lucked out as their wedding was early November and they had a gorgeous day for an all outdoors wedding. They knew Kathy at Trinity Staging where they had lots of cool vintagy furniture we used for the ceremony and seating areas, there were no tables/formal seating ops. Our groom/Chef did all the food with the help of some of his pals and what a spread it was for the lucky guests. They had a band that played for cocktails/dinner/dancing and all the other vendor areas were people they knew. It was a great celebration full of love and heart and i was really really happy to help them as i could
The ceremony was done in the center front part of the open courtyard so the ocean was 180 degrees the backdrop, with ecleptic seating, then after the ceremony I turned the seating into groupings, so along with the sofa/chair other seating areas, people could pick and choose where/the style of seating they preferred.
This was just the beginning of the food spread and they never ran out!
The happy couple, they are now 1 1/2 years married, and i last saw them at another Chef’s wedding just before their 1 year anniversary. The pic above with 3 lovely men and me, well they have been/are chefs at the Ritz Laguna and we have all worked together for many years, i appreciate their fabulous food and they appreciate the importance i put on dinner service being within 5 mins on the timeline!!!
This was how it looked during dancing/socializing. Then around 9pm when it was done, the cool ocean breeze picked up and it was done (4pm ceremony so it ended around sunset time).
Till next time
