Montage Laguna celebration

0094 0097

This happens so rarely here in S CA but for this intimate ceremony/celebration, the weather backup due to the rain for the ceremony turned out quite lovely.  This couple and their guests came from Arizona for the ocean location, so it was a shame the ceremony did not have the ocean backdrop, but the B&G did get to have pics by the ocean when the rain broke and dinner was in a private dining room that looked out to the ocean.

A gorgeous table for all the guests to sit around above, and below the favor table where the guests had boxes to fill up with candy and sweet treats.

An awesome vendor team on board for this one: Joe Latter/photo-thanks for the pics above, Square Root for the beautiful florals&the dining chairs, Naples for the ceremony music/strings, Found for the wonderful ceremony seating, Kim White/Twos a party-for the sweet table, to Kelly and the team at Studio at Montage xoxoxox, and to Teri who orchestrated this wedding dealing with the in/out/in out decisions for the ceremony while I was sunning in the Caribbean.

Till next time

Hyatt Huntington Beach wedding

img_0572 img_0573 img_0575 img_0576

From our first planning meeting I could see it all, and on the wedding day and the great vendor team we pulled together, it all came together.  Lovely thick aisle pattern and beautiful florals/color palette from EBD Florals/Karla, xoxoxoxo

img_0579

Love my seamless/glossy white dancefloor, that along with the draping behind the sheart table to hide the airwall track and the acrylic chiavaris came from TMMPRO, my new fave vendor from 2015.

img_0583   img_0588

I don’t see too many light gobos on the dancefloor now, but our bride preferred that to a

decal, and it turned out soft and pretty. You can see from the pics taken at different times the changes the lighting made

img_0591 img_0598 img_0602 img_0604 img_0607  img_4002

I asked EBD Floral to do a thick lush floral topper on the table and the bride had a picture showing flowers on a slope look/feel, it turned out beautifully. The cake was from Sweet Traders and DJ Jonsen did a great job, our second time working with him.  And as always, to the team at Hyatt HB, we have been doing weddings there for 15 years/from when the hotel opened its doors, its like being home when we are there xoxoxoxo

Ritz-Carlton Laguna Wedding

gleeson_0532 gleeson_0554

From the day the bride and her parents came to meet with me I knew we were going to have a fun time pulling this wedding together and then seeing it all evolve on the day.

The brides parents got married here at the Ritz-Carlton Dana Point 30 years ago and one of the Uncles had also been married there, so a real family tradition/location they consider personal is what this beautiful hotel means to them all.  So very special

gleeson_0941 gleeson_0949

Navy blue was a very popular accent or dominant color for weddings in 2016 and totally worked with the new carpet that appeared in the Terrace Room during the year, lol.

gleeson_0953  gleeson_0968

As you can see, my brides style was more natural and she wanted all low centerpieces and was not a colored/seamless/glossy dancefloor kind of girl, so we used the one provided by the hotel.  As always the balcony of the Terrace Salon with the furniture and firepits was very popular once dinner was over, and when I left there was actually a small group of guests still sitting out there not ready to call it a night (the B&G, parents and other guests were in the hotel bar).

gleeson_0982

We pulled together the perfect team, everyone was so happy to be there working on this wedding because they were just lovely lovely people.  Thanks to Frank Salas for the photos and being fab as always, Karla/Elegant by Design for ‘getting’ the vision perfectly, Peter/Vive Ent for the dinner/dancing music, to Naples for the strings for the ceremony and being so great to always work with, to Luxe Linens for the napkins and linens that brought the key color to reality, to Design Visage for beautifying everyone and being on time and always working with my schedule and to Paul Uhlar for doing a really great ceremony as always/we have done around 2000 together over the years, and last but not least our team/friends/family at the Ritz-Carlton Dana Point, its been 15 years of a beautiful relationship, happy brides and grooms/happy guests/happy hotel/happy Lisa!!

Newport Beach Hyatt wedding

1098_aaronyoungphotography_rebecajoey

While they were off getting married at the church, Nicole was very busy at the hotel putting all the signs/pictures and items all around at the different areas being utelised for this great celebration.  Cocktails were on the upper lawn area with views all around.  An open air tent was put up which framed the area perfectly

Then on another lawn area closer to the dining area, was the cigar/photobooth section

Dining and dancing under the stars with café lighting over the dining table area

A dancefloor was laid on the lawn and a stage for the band closed that area off to the lawn behind.

The after party was held in a fun round room and they partied on for another two hours.

Nicole did an awesome job keeping things flowing and ensuring everything was how our lovely Rebeca wanted it.  Thanks to Christeen at the Hyatt NB for being fabulous as always and to Aaron Young r the photos above.

Rancho Las Lomas wedding

Ferial + Moe's Wedding at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado.

Everyone is getting creative with the spaces at RLL, so nice having ceremonies in other areas now so we don’t have to turn from ceremony to dinner/dancing

Ferial + Moe's Wedding at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado.

Ferial wanted all low centerpieces so as not to take away from the surroundings – nailed it!! Café lighting was not even noticeable until it got dark.

Cocktails around the Reflecting Pool area is always a good idea

I love this view from above during dinner

From day one of planning mom told me she wanted to put the sofreh together herself, the beauty of a location where only one wedding a day is done, you have lots of time to do something like that, then of course my Nicole carefully put everything away after, so mom could enjoy herself.

img_1176  img_1190

Most of my brides are busy with their jobs, but Ferial had a job where if she didn’t respond for a while, I just knew she was really busy or something was going on, as she was personal assistant to President Obama and her desk was right outside the door to the Oval office (I know that because my family and I went to visit her and got a 2 hour tour of the east wing of the white house including her office, so so lucky).  He really wanted to come to the wedding but in the end determined to let her have her day without any distractions that his attendance would bring, so instead he sent her a video greeting as a surprise, she hates suprises, but liked that one!!

img_1191 img_1195

The band kept the dancefloor full below and then the dj kept the dancefloor full at the after party.  A really great party/celebration for a really great couple and families that were just lovely.  Weddings like these keep me smiling from beginning to long after I get home that night.

A great vendor team on board for this one, Paul Gero/photographer-it had been a while for us since we last worked together and it was great to see him again, so easy to work with, the florist was The White House florist-what a lovely lady and wonderful job she did (when vendors love you you see that love come through in their work/product), my favourite beautiful lady Persian wedding officiant Shahrzad did her normal fabulous job officiating, 4snapz provided the photobooth that was very busy at the after party, awesome food by 24 Carrots Catering and the team at RLL are always great to work with.

Ritz-Carlton Laguna/Pavilion Ballroom

img_0712

A very busy bride and a lovely mom and I had a great journey which ended up with a really fabulous celebration.  Tiffany had an inspiration picture with the floral runner/candles inset which she loved, so of course we always knew we would have rectangle tables to be able to use that design on.  Along the way we created the perfect vendor team for them and the vision went from one picture to many other elements that created her custom wedding.

img_0715 img_0718

Of course the seamless dancefloor and decal were from my new fave vendor of 2015 TMMPRO, along with the boxed florals infront of the stage which became a big had to have in 2015, doesn’t it all look fabulous!!  The luge for the signature drink was by fabulous Mark of Icebulb.

img_0720 img_0740

The use of benches on the balcony gives a lot more seating if wanting to add a furniture area along with the regular tall and low cocktail tables, and Tiffany wanted a firepit from tthe beginning so of course there it was on the night

munyon_0913 munyon_0920

Pre cocktail pic of the view from the balcony and why so many local and destination wedding couples choose this hotel and space to celebrate at.  Don’t you love the placecard table display, so fluffy, thanks to the hydrangea table top cover.

Carrying on the hydrangea runner look/feel to the headtable and these pics showcase the beautiful Luxe Linen that was usd on the headtable and the rectangle tables in the room

munyon_1136 munyon_1138 munyon_1140 munyon_1145   munyon_1154

3 different Luxe Linens were used throughout the room, lots of texture/looks, love it.

Great vendor team on board for this wedding.  Frank Salas/photographer-thanks as always for being such a great team player, Elegant by Design for bringing our beginning design thoughts through to reality as always, Lake Forest limousines for the Packard and limos used to get everyone from the hotel to the church to the hotel, and of course, to our fabulous team/family at the Ritz-Carlton-we love you soooooo much!!!!  And to the best band ever – well that is what all my couples say during and after their weddings, Full Spectrum Music/Adam Jackson, mom and bride took forever to book them even though I kept saying I would not steer you wrong, on the night mom comes over to me and says, Lisa this band is sooo good, guests keep coming up and telling me the best wedding band they have ever heard, why don’t everyone just book them immediately!!  I said to her, tell me about it, lol
