Monarch Beach Resort fab wedding
Oh how I enjoyed working with these two. A surgeon and a designer, great style and taste.
We pulled together the perfect vendor team for them, Frank Salas/photo (thanks for the photos here), Elegant by Design floral/Karla and her awesome team, Albert/dj, linens by Luxe and the blue by Wildflower – actually custom made for them as it was a certain shade of blue they wanted, TMMPRO for the acrylic chivaris, and to Classic Party Rentals for the china used for the fabulous luncheon the guests got to enjoy, and last but by no means least, Laura and the team at the Monarch Beach Resort, love love working with you all and have done so for the past 15 years, its an honor to share with you seeing couples dream weddings become a reality
When you drop the guest list a bit, you can get really creative with this space. I really love the touches that have been added since the re-invention of this wonderful resort (formerly the St Regis)
We do love us a hanging cake. I did the first one here at Club 19 and love it when my couples want to have one too.
This couple actually ‘tied the know’ during the ceremony, check my instagram out from Oct and you will see what I am talking about.
They are back in Texas now but I know that over xmas tables and new year celebrations, their family and friends are going to be talking about that awesome wedding they came to here in S CA.
Till next time

Balboa Bay Resort wedding
Such super sweet nice people, the couple, her family, the friends and family on the day, I DO love my job!! On our first meeting my bride made it clear that yellow was her favourite color, my question back was, what shade of yellow, she said ‘happy’ yellow, so of course in the designing/suggestions I made as we went through the process, ‘happy’yellow it was!
We kept yellow out of the ceremony so as not to distract in photos, the girls had yellow bouquets, so the pop was there. The brides brother is not a professional officiant but he officiated the ceremony and it was quite lovely/personal.
I loved that she was in, when I said, what about a happy yellow dancefloor. It made such an impact and everyone was talking about it, even the GM of the hotel came up to see and he then sent others up to take a look. We were in the Bayview room which has wonderful Newport harbor views/windows along one side, but we wanted to center the cake but a service door is right behind where it would be and along with the silver/gray linens/chairs we were doing I knew the impact of the yellow could be lost or the room may look a bit messy, so we draped the 3 walls and it turned out fabulous.
My new fave vendor http://www.thesugarphilosophers.com did another beautiful/elegant candy table which was set up during dinner so when guests left, they passed what was the placecard table was now a transformed table with bags to create their own takeaway/favor.
Another great day because I was able to guide her to select the right team for their wedding, thanks to Jacqueline Kay photography for the pics above and for also being so great to work with, Peter/Vive Ent for as always being the best dj/mcee/music guy-guests and my couples love him, Karla/Elegant by Design for the florals which had the right amount of yellow and for making the collections look great/mom was looking for the tradition tall floral ball but that was not our brides style/vision, Kim/Shane Productions-video-for just being so fab. Design Visage for ensuring everyone looked gorgeous from beginning to end. TMMPRO for our wonderful yellow dancefloor and silver decal, the draping and our lighting-which is everything!! We used the room at the end of the dining area for the photobooth which was very popular. And last but not least the great team at Balboa Bay Resort, we love working with you all.
Till next time

Monarch Beach Resort fab wedding
Ahhhhhhh, from the moment dad and bride came to meet with me I knew this was going to be a wonderful experience, I was so right. We had their ceremony at a church in Laguna and then cocktails at the Sunset Terrace followed by dinner/dancing in the Monarch Ballroom at the Monarch Beach Resort/formerly the St Regis Monarch Beach
Whitney knew from moment one she wanted Nisie’s Enchanted Florist to be her gal, and of course everything was perfection. Signature drink luge by Carving Ice, both their last names started with an M, so an M luge seemed perfect.
Glossy/seamless dancefloor with custom decal and acrylic chiavaris by TMMPRO as always
Seating chart display, and the beautiful/elegant candy table that had South African candies in honor of our groom and the contingent that came from South Africa.
Thanks to Larry Crandall for the beautiful photos above, Epod photobooth for always coming and doing your thing seamlessly, Dan/Plug Video, Design Visage for beautifying everyone as always-they all held up until the end of the event/so important, the band that keeps the dancefloor full and created some special moments by playing/singing some South African songs/Full Spectrum, love you guys!!! Luxe Linens for napkins/linens, and last but not least, my family/team at the Monarch Beach Resort, its been 15 years of pure joy working with you all xoxoxoxo
