Montage Beverly Hills wedding

I loved helping Nicole with her wedding. She was just so sweet and lovely. First time I met the groom was on the wedding day. We pulled a great vendor team together and kept within our budget, and a great time was had by all on the night. Thanks to Joel Austell for the photos, Al Nassar/Dj for keeping the dancing going, Monico Décor for the rentals, Karen for the lovely florals, and Shaun at the Montage for being so great to work with.

Club 19 Fabulous

photo 2

This wedding was one of my favourites from 2014.  The groom called me to inquire about my services before he booked the hotel.  They loved St Regis and Club 19, but he really wanted to make sure that what they liked/wanted was going to stay within the budget he had set.  So before he had officially booked me, we did a quick budget overview.  Our bride had a vision and with getting them to prioritize what was important, I knew we could bring her vision and enhance it to a reality.  So so very pleased with how it all turned out and that they were excited about the elements I would propose that would make this a unique celebration for them, and their friends and family that would be lucky enough to be in attendance.

Rose gold chiavaris, hanging cake, one long table, chandeliers and draping ceiling treatment.  Love love love.

Thanks to my awesome vendor team that worked with me to make this happen for this really lovely couple, Flowers by Cina, my fave harpist for cere/cocktails, Peter/Vive Ent for dinner/dancing music, Design Visage for only making my bride look even more beautiful than she already is, and to Bob Ortiz for making the photography budget work and if I recall, emailing them the link for all their photos the next day!!!  Paul Uhlar for officiating and making it legal!!

Canadian couple wed at St Regis

photo 3

Really enjoyed helping Dallen and Dean pull their wedding together from another country!!  They got married at my favourite site at St Regis Monarch Beach, Botanical Garden, and had a lovely intimate dinner/dance reception in the wine cellar.  Their family/friends that came in only found out a few days before that they were going to be attending a wedding, and no one left back in Canada knew that was what was going to happen down here in S CA.  So there was no social media happening on this day.  Great fun group.

Hyatt Huntington Beach, Vista Ballroom

This wedding had a lot of lovely details involved.  Mom had a vision and really pulled everything together.  She booked me for Month of service, but used my preferred vendor list and checked in at times for advise.  The end result was quite lovely as you can see.  Thanks to Frank Salas for the photos, Design Visage for making our bride look so fabulous.  Dj Mister Bill for always keeping the crowd going and he got lots of kudos that night.  Tomgirl for great cake and Monico Décor for as always working with me to get everything done as I need it done.  No ceremony pictures on this one as they got married at a church, and I was only at the hotel handling everything there, so they could relax and enjoy the church service knowing all was under con.

St Regis Monarch Beach, Botanical Garden & Club 19 – daytime

photo

To say this couple endeared themselves to me, doesn’t do it justice.  The groom booked me as the bride was very busy with her residency, so I had to keep the groom on track and he was a worrier and I spent a lot of time assuring him it was all going to be aok.  Everytime we would have a meeting, the bride loved everything, but he still worried.  We got a great team on board and of course it all turned out fabulously.  Keith Laverty did a beautiful job with the florals, my fave harpist provided ceremony and cocktail music, my A1 dj Peter/Vive Ent kept things going as always, and the team at the St Regis were awesome as always, lead by the fabulous Kelly O.

Ritz-Carlton Laguna

Such a lovely couple, so enjoyed working with them.  A quiet Sunday just before 2014 came in sight and the weather

was gorgeous for them.  Good things always come to good people.  As there was nothing else happening on the property that day, we did the ceremony on one side of property and then the guests got a nice tour as they were escorted to the other side of property for cocktails and dinner/dancing.  Not very often you can do that. So their guests got the best of both worlds, ceremony backdrop of the Pacific Ocean to Catalina Island and to the south and north, cocktails overlooking Ritz Cove and Salt Creek Beach/Monarch Beach, then into the ballroom for dinner and dancing.  Thanks to Albert Tabibian for the photos.

New Years Eve wedding – St Regis Monarch Beach

Okay, doing good, two days in a row blogging!!!

So this post winds up 2013.  I had plans to go to a swanky NY eve dinner followed by a party but got a call from a bride who really wanted some help to pull her wedding together in a short time frame, and she didn’t want a normal sit down dinner/event.  So I caved, and we pulled together this pretty/fun/social wedding reception where there was something for everyone.  Casino tables, dancing, socializing and just enoying the environment.  We picked fun/key people to be on her team for the night, Tony Florez photography, Flowers by Cina/Melissa, Design Visage for hair/makeup, and a fun interactive dj from Invisible Touch.  Food was at stations and available for most of the night, late night snacks too of course, and a martini luge that was a replica of their Lamborghini that was parked right outside!!!!  Club 19 at St Regis Monarch Beach was the perfect spot to have this celebration.  And yes, I did get to go to the party I was supposed to go to, just not the dinner, late, got there around 1am, but it was all good.

Ritz-Carlton Plaza Room, Black & White

Well, get ready, I don’t know where time goes, but realized I have not posted pics from weddings for 1 1/2 years, not because I didn’t want to, just time, never enough of it.  So catchup in a major way is on

This bride was very fortunate, she lived out of state and her mom really planned it for her.  Mom booked me for Month of service but was good about using my vendor list along the way and would always defer to me when pulling the look together came up.  I happen to love a damask black and white, and mom went for it.  Love it

Irvine Marriott wedding

photo 2 photo 3

This was the third of three friends daughter’s weddings.  All different budgets and styles.  One at Richard Nixon Library, one at Montage Laguna Beach and this one at Irvine Marriott.  One booked me for small service, two to go through the process with them.  Loved the journey with all of them.  We had an outside jewish ceremony, indoor cocktails, and then into the Tuscany Ballroom where we had two different styles of centerpieces done by Karen’s Flowers.  All lovely brides and moms.  Aaaah, we are so lucky.
