Ritz-Carlton Laguna, Gazebo & Pavilion celebration

Another fabulous celebration with the Pacific ocean as close to a wedding here in the OC that it can be. Our bride was very busy and left pretty much most of the planning to her mom, and dad was involved too. Mom had time, so she booked a smaller service from me, but totally used my preferred vendor list and kept in touch with me when she needed advise/referrals etc, so she had put a good team together when I officially began and helped pull everything together.

Thanks to Katie Clark for the photos below, always great working with Katie. We had a dove release from White Flite which the guests always love, lovely string music by Naples Chamber Ensemble for the ceremony and cocktails, and decor/rentals were all done by Fusion Decor, and of course the team at the Ritz-Carlton were fabulous as always (the parents had specific requests due to a previous wedding they had hosted and things the location had not handled well, the RC made sure none of those complaints could be made after this wedding, yay). It was also great working with Jan from Flower Fusion, who had a very tight turn for the ceremony and made it happen.

Balboa Bay Resort lovely celebration

Really enjoyed this bride and her mom. Bride was very busy with schooling on the east coast and mom was bi-coastal ending up in the final months here full time. Just lovely lovely ladies, you can tell by the style of the decor/look how they were, as I do feel all ‘looks’ are always a reflection of a bride or couples style/personalities, which they should be, each wedding should not look like it is one of mine!!

They got married in a church over on Balboa Island and at one point we considered duffy boats to get everyone across the harbor and back, it didn’t end up happening, but I think would have been fun and a cool experience for the guests ………….next time!!

We matched the vendor team to the style/look/personality they had/wanted, and it was fabulous. Thanks to http://www.tonyflorez.com for always being soooo easy to work with and for the pics below. Design Visage for making everyone look fabulous as always, all the way until the end of the event (which is important). Keith Laverty for the floral design and for loving these ladies as I did. Essence for providing the pianist that I have worked with many times in the past and did a great job for dinner music. Dj/Mr Bill (a find from one of my brides years ago and so many of my brides pick him now). Fusion Decor for the chaircovers (looks so rich and elegant/warm/inviting after seeing chivaris so often), table linens, furniture for the balcony, and the white dancefloor (which always pulls a look together/finishes it off). Lake Forest limos for getting everyone from A to B then to C, all without effort and trouble. The team at Balboa Bay Club as it was known then, but now Resort, fabulous job and a beautiful cake designed by the passionate Susanne at Sweet Art. A really lovely celebration.

Rancho Las Lomas celebration

Oh dear, I got going finishing up posting last years weddings, and then all my lovely couples for this year started happening and 2015 brides started booking, and I got distracted!! I have already done some lovely weddings this year that I am going to need to get blogged sooner rather than later, and the season has only just begun, so time to get back on it…………..

This was my lovely Regina and her wonderful Jason’s celebration. Regina booked me for a smaller service, having full confidence in her ability to create a vision and pull the vendor team together. She did a great job. My job was to double check things/create a timeline/script for the day, and then understanding her priorities and hopes, run everything for her so she could enjoy and be a bride/guest at her own wedding.

As you can see we had the normal ceremony (which the grooms father officiated at) and then during the longer cocktail time the guests got to watch the couple doing their Thai ceremony. The dining area looked fabulous and the after party upstairs kept most of the guests there until the very end. And a new bonus for RLL couples, you can stay there now, so Regina and Jason walked about 50 steps and they were at their villa for the night.

Thanks to Alex Rapada for the pictures below and being so easy to work with, I look forward to our next wedding together. To Flowers By Cina/Melissa for the beautiful floral/design and to the Design Visage team for having Regina look fabulous from beginning to end as well as her lovely bridesmaids (the latter two vendors Regina got from my preferred vendor list that I had provided her with), and of course the team at RLL and 24 Carrots who provided the great food and service.
