Awwwwww!!!! Thank YOU
As this season ends, next year is gearing up already. Busy with finding locations for couples and getting other couples started with their vendor options/selections, and for others securing our services for smaller services. Such lovely couples/families already for 2013, I just noticed that 10 of the weddings booked are referrals from past brides, or siblings of past couples, love it. And I just got this lovely email from the mother of a bride for 2013 –
‘My second payment to you is in the mail. Best money I’ve ever spent!!! Thanks!! Judi’
Makes my day when I get notes like that. I am very much appreciative of the cards and emails I have received from 29 couples/parents from 2012 weddings all saying wonderful things and offering to be references, you lovely folks are the reason I smile and can’t wait to get to a wedding celebration and see it all unfold. Speaking of which, a great celebration for an out of state couple at Club 19/St Regis last night, lovely lovely friends & family (we had a great planning experience so I knew the day would be smooth and based on my couple and her parents, they had to have nice family/friends), I was thanked by the guests and complimented on the job I was doing by the guests so many times, too funny. It is I who owes the Thanks, I get to do what I love by people who appreciate and want my guidance and advise, sure beats the opposite.
Blogs coming with lots more pics of 2012 weddings in the next few weeks.
Till next time

St Regis Monarch Beach 2013
If you are considering the beautiful St Regis in Monarch Beach, S CA, or a similar location, they have just rolled out incentives that will make your decision easy:
If your food beverage minimum is $25k or more, you get a 1 year resort membership (from the time you sign the contract) which gives you access to the amenities, dining/spa/salon discounts, and guestroom discounts, and for the golfers – discounted green fees. This is a $5k value, and if you love the property and whether you are local or not, would be staying at the hotel or eating in the restaurants, using the spa etc, leading up to your wedding, or after, this is only a win win for you, and really allows you to enjoy your wedding location prior or create memories before or after in addition to your wedding memory.
They are also, for new bookings, offering a pretty complete per person package for those couples who don’t need or want to customise what you are offering to your guests in the way of food & beverage, AND if you book by the end of this year you get to pick 1 or 2 treats from a list of 10 great items, depending on your food & beverage minimum.
So give, Amanda, Kelly, Eileen, or Marissa a call, to find out more, oh and don’t forget to call me and get me on board also!!! LOL

Mariners Ballroom Beautiful
I was so thrilled with how everything came together/looked for this beautiful bride. The eventual layout was not her first choice and even though I told her we would orchestrate whatever her preference was, I gave all the benefits to the layout we ended up with, but it really wasn’t her first choice. Until she saw it. And then she got it.
Remember, if you have a planner who has worked your location or room before, all we want is for your and the guests experience to be the optimum.
Together with Nisie’s Enchanted Florist signature look/feel she creates and the color palette the bride went with, all I could say when we were done putting it all together and dimmed the lights was, this is beautiful. Soft, romantic, their theme was Parisenne but in a mild way, starting with an accordian player at cocktails, thru subtle Eiffel towers placed with the hors d’oeuvres, their table names were photographs taken around Paris ontheir engagement trip (he propsed there and she had no idea) they were done in black & white and looked very Paris, the menu card with the french wording for each course and the final item, a Thank you sign written in french at the water table with a picture of them in Paris on it, for the guests to take.
As you may know, I love a good placecard table, to me it sets a tone, gives a hint of what is to come, is the center of a cocktail area if room or the entrance to the experience the guests are about to have, the guests came down the stairs and were greeted with probably my most favorite placecard centerpiece of all time, to date. Again beautiful described it and the feel it gives.
Dancing to the end thanks to wonderful Tim of Invisible Touch, Jim Kennedy and Lauren from his studio taking the photos you see here and of course all the people pics the couple are going to love, and of course the great team at the Hyatt, Cheryl and Javier and Glenn and his team, all the right players were in place to make this the successful celebration it was. They are on a plane right now heading to their honeymoon, enjoy guys, and mom enjoy knowing it is over and it was all worth it!
This service for us was a hotel reception only as the church provided a church lady that really doesn’t need or want co-ordinators around. Mother of bride wanted someone from my team there just to support and then I like it as I am kept in touch with what is happening and where everyone is. So Teri was at the church, then kept things moving and shadowed during the photos at the hotel. Mom said to me at the end she was very happy she added that option on as it gave her comfort knowing someone was there keeping them moving and taking care of little things for them.

Plaza Room Ritz Carlton Dana Point
I love this location and room, and am fortunate to be chosen to assist many couples each year to celebrate here. They are never the same as this layout in the Plaza Room shows. When you are 36 or less guests you can get a little creative, normally it is one royal dining table or a U’shape with guests all around, pics you will see as the season progresses, but for this one the style was two long tables in an L-shape and an ocean theme (which meant the hotels banquet chairs could also be used). It turned out great and I always love how the look changes from when we start earlier in the day prior to sunset and then during the dinner when the candles/night light create the romantic ambiance you don’t get in daylight.
Thanks to Katie Clark (www.kcpstudios.com) for these pics:
I love the L-shape idea and look forward to doing it again but this time joining the tables and seeing how that looks, anyone willing to try/let me do it with you??!!
